BIGGER in Texas
By Patrick Dunne, NSSGA
Everything is bigger in Texas. So it was only appropriate that Houston, Texas,
was the site of the 2018 Annual Convention and AGG1 Academy & Expo, a recordbreaking event attended by hundreds of people working to continue to expand and
improve the industry in committee meetings and special events from March 4-7, 2018
at the Marriott Marquis, Houston.
MICHAEL W. JOHNSON, NSSGA President and CEO, called on NSSGA Annual
convention attendees become directly
involved in advancing the industry's
priorities. He challenged attendees
to take lessons learned from the convention to improve their own skills
and businesses, and become advocates for Infrastructure for America.
NSSGA unveiled a new website, www.

information, FAQs and talking points
to help advocates make a real impact.
"We are going to be out in force
as an industry as never before, and
we want to equip you to do the job
back home. We want Congress to hear,
loud and clear, about the importance
of investing in infrastructure," said
Johnson. "We have a president in the
White House who understands that
the way to get this economy going
again is to build. When we're building, as a country, those are our best
times," he said.
